Started off studying Architecture at the Technical University of Delft. (after a year of Aeronautical & Space engineering...) Military service as a lieutenant platoon commander (48 men) in the 435 Infantry Nuclear Mobile Company, in charge of security of nuclear sites and convoys in Germany. Returned at University afterwards and in the last year started working in 3D computer graphics. Didn't finish University, but decided on a career in moving graphics. Did design a grand café though: Café Hofman in Utrecht.
Created a lot of graphics for mainly architects and project developers. Co-created 'Educating Peter' for Digital Equipment Corp., the first CG film on 35mm, which premiered at Cannes.
Co-founded Apix Visual FX in 1992. Apix was the only company creating computer generated effects for 35mm film on mainland Europe. Did a lot of work on feature films and commercials for the big screen.
Founded Big River Pictures and produced the independent feature film 'Bastards&bridesmaids' in 1996, which had a theatrical release in Holland and sold to 10 countries. Worked on feature films and corporates.
Started in documentary producing and directing in 2000.
Wrote and directed the 'DutchMil' television series in 2005/2006.
Currently working in documentary and television as a producing director.
